A list of the 100 wealthiest celebrities was released by Forbes magazine

A list of the Top 100 entertainers — ranked by wealth — was compiled by Forbes magazine (Aug. 31, 2019).  The wealth of the entertainers ranges from $185 million to $37.5 million. Four of the Top 10 are musicians and four of the Top 10 are athletes.  Top 10 on the list were:

Taylor Swift ($185 million) — Taylor, 25, is an American singer-songwriter. The magazine stated: “The songstress added to her reputation over the past 12 months with a massive stadium tour: 53 concerts, millions of attendees and a $345 million gross.  There’s also her new Republic Records deal that could pay as much as $200 million.”

Kylie Jenner ($170 million) — Jenner, 22, is an American television personality, model and entrepreneur. She owns a cosmetics company called Kylie Cosmetics. The New York Post called her the most influential celebrity in the fashion industry.

Kanye West ($150 million) — West, 42, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, fashion designer and entrepreneur.  His music includes soul, baroque pop, electro, indie rock, synth-pop, industrial and gospel. Worldwide, he has sold more than 140 million records.

Lionel Messi ($127 million) — Messi, 32, is an Argentine professional footballer who is the captain of a Spanish club, Barcelona, and the Argentina national team. He is Argentina’s all-time leading goal scorer.

Ed Sheeran ($110 million) — Sheeran, 28, is an English singer, songwriter, record producer, guitarist and actor.  He has sold more than 150 million records worldwide.  He tour during 2017-19 was the highest grossing tour of all time and attracted more than 8.7 million attendees.

Christiano Ronaldo ($109 million) — Ronaldo, 34, is a Portuguese professional footballer.  He plays for a Serie A club called Juventus and is the captain of the Portugal national team.  He is widely regarded as one of the greatest football player of all time.

Neymar ($105 million) — Neymar, 27, whose full name is Neymar da Santos Junior, is a Brazilian professional footballer.  He currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazilian national team.

The Eagles ($100 million) — The Eagles is an American rock band formed in 1971.  Current members are Don Henley, 72 (lead and backing vocals, drums, percussion and rhythm guitar); Joe Walsh, 71 (co-lead and rhythm guitar, backing and lead vocals, keyboards) and Timothy B. Schmit, 71 (bass guitar, backing and lead vocals, harmonica).  Past members included the late Glenn Frey, deceased at age 67 (rhythm and lead guitar, backing and lead vocals), Vince Gill, 62 (co-lead and rhythm guitar, backing and lead vocals), Bernie Leadon, 72 (guitar, vocals), Randy Meisner, 73 (bass guitar, vocals) and Don Felder, 72 (lead guitar).

THE EAGLES ARE SAID TO BE WORTH $100 MILLION

Phil McGraw ($95 million) — McGraw, 69, who is known as Dr. Phil, is an American television personality, author and psychologist.   He hosts the television show Dr. Phil  He first gained fame in 1968 when he began making regular appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Canelo Alvarez ($94 million) — Alvarez, 29, whose full name is Santos Saul Alvarez Barragan, is a Mexican professional boxer who is a three-weight world champion.  He holds a record of 52-1-2.  His only loss was in 2013 when he lost a decision to Floyd Mayweather, Jr., who holds a record of 50-0.

Holding the 11-20 spots in wealth are Swiss professional tennis player Roger Federer, 38($93.4 million), American radio personality Howard Stern, 65 ($93 million), British author J. K. Rowling, 54 ($92 million), American professional football quarterback Russell Wilson, 30 ($89.5 million), American actor, producer and former professional wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, 47 ($89.4 million), American professional football quarterback Aaron Rodgers 35 ($89.3 million), American professional basketball player LeBron James, 34 ($89 million), American radio personality Rush Limbaugh, 68 ($87 million), English singer, songwriter, pianist and composer Elton John, 72 ($84 million) and American singer, songwriter and actress Beyoncé Giselle Knowles, 38 ($81 million).
